Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

FluxLight Incorporated ("FluxLight," "we," "us") runs the website at fluxlight.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

When you place an order, request a quote, or create an account, we collect:

  • Contact information — name, email address, phone number, company name
  • Shipping and billing addresses
  • Payment information — credit card details are processed by our payment provider (BigCommerce Payments) and are not stored on our servers
  • Order history — what you bought, when, and how much you paid

When you browse the site, we automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, screen size
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Pages visited, time spent, and how you got here (referral source)
  • Cookies and similar tracking data (see "Cookies and Tracking" below)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and ship your orders
  • Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts
  • Respond to quotes, support requests, and questions
  • Improve our website and product listings
  • Display product reviews (through Yotpo)
  • Show relevant product suggestions (through EasyUpsellApp)
  • Analyze site traffic and performance (through Google Analytics)
  • Detect and prevent fraud

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. Here is what runs on fluxlight.com and why:

  • BigCommerce: Our e-commerce platform — handles your cart, checkout, account, and order processing. Sets cookies needed to keep the site working.
  • Google Tag Manager: Loads and manages the analytics and marketing tags listed below. Does not collect data itself.
  • Google Analytics (GA4): Tracks how visitors use the site — page views, time on site, traffic sources. Helps us understand what products and pages people look for.
  • Google Ads: Measures whether our search ads lead to purchases. May use cookies for conversion tracking.
  • Yotpo: Powers product reviews on our site. Loads review content and images.
  • Google Fonts: Loads typefaces for the site's design. Google may log basic request data (IP address, referrer).
  • Cloudflare / Akamai: Content delivery networks that serve site assets faster. May set performance cookies.
  • DigiCert / GoDaddy: Display trust seals verifying our SSL certificate.
  • Amazon S3: Hosts some static files (images, assets).

Your choices: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can also install browser extensions like uBlock Origin to control tracking. Blocking cookies may affect checkout and account features.

Do Not Track: There is no industry standard for Do Not Track signals yet. Our site does not currently change its behavior in response to DNT headers.

Third-Party Services

We share information with service providers only as needed to run the business:

  • BigCommerce: hosts our store and processes transactions
  • Payment processors: handle credit card charges (we never see or store your full card number)
  • Shipping carriers: receive your name and address to deliver orders
  • Yotpo: collects your name and email if you submit a product review
  • Google: receives anonymized analytics and ad conversion data

These providers are required to protect your data and may not use it for their own marketing.

Data Security

We protect your information using encryption (HTTPS/TLS across the entire site), access controls, and secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to guard against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

Data Retention

We keep your account and order information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you want your data deleted, contact us (see below).

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Delete your personal information (with some exceptions)
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information — though we do not sell personal information
  • Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights

To make a request, email us at sales@fluxlight.com. We will verify your identity before acting on any request.

Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

International Visitors

FluxLight is based in Dallas, Texas, USA. If you visit from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from your country. By using our site, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the revised policy here with an updated date. We encourage you to check this page periodically.
